Sheridan Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Opportunities

By January 24, 2020 No Comments

Sheridan has skilled students in these areas from our Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) and Honours Bachelor of Applied Information Sciences (Information Systems Security) degree programs seeking 4- or 8-month paid co-op opportunities.

Students have knowledge in areas such as A.I. and machine learning, data analytics, forensics, secure software development, penetration testing, network & database security and more.   Android/iOS development, Java, C#/C++, Python, JavaScript, QA/Testing, systems administration and compliance are also areas of expertise students can bring to your work place. Students gain on-the-job experience and bring their academic knowledge and innovative ideas to the workplace.

Tax Credit

By hiring co-op students, employers can take advantage of cost-effective short-term hiring processes and could qualify for the Ontario Co-operative Education Tax Credit.

Wage Subsidy Funding

In addition, Sheridan has partnered with the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC).  ITAC is reserving wage subsidy funding ($5000 per eligible student) for employers who hire Sheridan Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) and Honours Bachelor of Applied Information Sciences (Information Systems Security) students.  Employers can find out more about the funding here.
